Overview

One Event Infrastructure delivered temporary tiered seating for the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2026, one of Ireland’s largest and longest-running educational events.

The project took place within the RDS Shelbourne Hall and involved installing both client-owned seating systems and custom tiered seating rigs, requiring experienced crews and careful handling of existing assets.

Scale at a Glance

Within the Shelbourne Hall, One Event Infrastructure delivered:

  • 618 client-owned tiered seats

  • 2 custom tiered seating structures, providing:

    • 308 seats

    • 264 seats

  • 1,190 total seats installed

All seating was installed, adjusted, and certified to suit venue and event requirements.

Programme & Delivery

Although the exhibition ran from 7–10 January 2026, the seating installation was completed before Christmas.

Early delivery was made possible through advance coordination with the organisers and venue and allowed:

  • The build to be completed without pressure from January load-ins

  • Time for final checks and adjustments

  • Crew schedules to be planned so teams could take additional time off over the Christmas period, without impacting delivery

Completing the build early reduced risk during a busy post-Christmas window and ensured the venue was fully prepared well in advance of opening.

What We Delivered

  • Installation of the exhibition’s own tiered seating system

  • Design adjustment and build of two custom tiered seating rigs

  • Modification of previous years’ seating layouts to suit updated requirements

  • Full de-rig and reinstatement of the hall post-event

Our Approach

Delivery focused on experience, accuracy, and realistic planning.

Key priorities included:

  • Assigning experienced crews familiar with tiered seating systems and sequencing

  • Careful handling of client-owned seating assets

  • Adapting established designs while maintaining comfort, sightlines, and compliance

  • Planning the programme to avoid unnecessary pressure during the Christmas period

Outcome

The seating was delivered ahead of schedule and to specification, supporting a successful Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in January 2026.

The project was completed with:

  • No damage to client-owned seating

  • Safe, comfortable seating for audiences and presentations

  • Positive collaboration with event organisers and RDS venue teams

Key Takeaway

High-quality temporary seating relies on experience, foresight, and respect for both the venue and the people delivering the work.

This project demonstrates One Event Infrastructure’s ability to adapt designs year-on-year, work with client-owned systems, and deliver responsibly planned builds within high-profile indoor venues.
